Hey everybody,
Thanks to everyone that came out to the previous events, they have been a wonderful social opportunity.
This is a social event for people to meet each other, ask questions, and have a good time. Maybe you are new, maybe you’ve been busy, maybe you’ve been shy, whatever the reason we haven’t met you yet, we’d like to meet you and that is why we are creating this event. Feel free to bring a friend.
Public Transportation (recommended)
There are many public transportation options. Take the nearest CTA train or bus to the Loop or take the Metra.
Car Pooling
Anyone looking to car pool please discussion on this event page and find people to work out rides with. My understanding is there is a $12 parking lot.
Plymouth Restaurant is downtown in the loop near all the trains. They have 3 floors and 2 bars. We will be on the roof. Take the elevator to the roof and look for us. The roof is heated and enclosed and provides a smoking area. Take a look at there website for more information at plymouthgrill.com.

Celebrate the Inauguration: Free Market Style!
Libertarian Meetups > The Chicago Libertarian Party Meetup Group
America’s Future Foundation – Chicago is hosting their first event in 2009 on Wednesday, January 21st.
This roundtable will focus on a subject everyone is talking about – the U.S. and world economy, with a panel including Prof. Todd Henderson, Gus Makris, Alex Markis and Phil Wilhelm.
This esteemed panel will give insight to questions such as: Are there any free markets left in the United States? What kind of free market policies can we expect from an Obama administration? Was President Bush wise in announcing that he had to "sacrifice free market principles to save the economy from collapse?" What about these middle class tax cuts? What about the $700 billion bailout? Often cited as a supporter of redistributionist ideals, will our economy emerge from an Obama administration more or less "free market?" Having the legal and financial wherewithal to guide our guests through these and many more questions, this is certainly a don’t miss panel of speakers.
Be sure to bring your friends for cocktails, appetizers, door prizes, networking and great conversation, and to find out more about how to get involved with this exciting group of young libertarian and conservative professionals in Chicago.
The roundtable will take place at Sullivan’s Steakhouse with a reception beginning at 6pm. The panel will start their debate and discussion at 6:30. You may RSVP by sending an email to tim@americasfuture.org.

All ages can attend.
The Chicago Libertarian Party starts its business meetings at 7pm. The business typically takes about an hour to get through, after which we stay around for a couple of hours socializing.
Feel free to show up any time after 6:00. The business portion of the meeting is open for everyone to attend. Now is a great time to get involved, as we work begin the groundwork for local elections in 2010.
The Lincoln Restaurant is near the intersection of Lincoln, Irving Park and Damen. There is parking, and I believe that the Irving Park brown line station is open again.
