Libertarians at Peace Fest

Hello everyone,

This event is being organized so that we can bring the troops down to Bloomington, IL to help get Lex Green elected as the Mayor of Bloomington. It is a non partisan race which means no Dem or Rep in front of the candidates names, which is a big help. It is a three way race with the 4 candidate recently dropping out and giving his endorsement to Lex Green. That being said, this is a race we can win!! We will be handing out flyers and possibly putting flyers inside of mail boxes to get Lex’s name out there. The election is in early April so now is the time. Hope to see all of you there. If you need help coordinating rides down there please make comments on this page and we will see if we can help you. Amtrak also serves Bloomington.

To get there (if heading south) you will take the first exit in Bloomington (Veterans Parkway) and take that south to Clearwater Avenue…turn left onto Clearwater, then an immediate left into the shopping center (Strip mall) parking lot. We will meet by the Dollar Tree store.

Help Lex Green’s Campaign! Handing out flyers and more!

The Chicago Libertarian Party Meetup Group

Come join us for the first Monthly Meetup with our new elected officers. It’s not a formal business meeting, but we’ll be discussing goals and ideas for 2013. (Bring yours to share.)

As a special treat, our friend Michael Badnarik plans to attend. Michael was the Libertarian candidate for President of the United States in 2004, and has been a longtime friend of the Libertarian Party of Chicago.

This is not a lecture, but Michael will be pleased to share with you what he’s been up to since we saw him last, and he will bring copies of his new book, Secret to Sovereignty. Not surprisingly, this book is available for barter only for 1 ounce of silver.

Come spend an evening with your fellow Libertarians over one of those giant mugs of beer. (Or not.) Actually, there is a full dinner menu available, and all ages may attend.

Feel free to show up any time after 6:00. The Lincoln Restaurant is near the intersection of Lincoln, Irving Park and Damen. There is free parking in the back.

Got ideas about what we should be doing? Thinking about getting more involved? Not sure what we do but curious? This is your chance!

Come join us for our first Monthly Meetup of the year, which is also our Annual Meeting when we elect our club officers for the year.

Which office fits your interest and abilities?

• Fundraising Chair
• Webmaster

We need you! It’s a new year, and a clean slate. All offices are up for re-election, and we’d love some fresh faces and fresh ideas. Bring a friend, even! The only requirement for running for office is your promise to do your best for the cause.

Attendance is free; all ages can attend. Come spend an evening with your fellow Libertarians over dinner, a snack, or maybe one of those giant mugs of beer (age permitting). There is a full dinner menu available.

The meeting will begin at 7:00, and should last about an hour. Afterward we always stick around and chat. The Lincoln Restaurant is near the intersection of Lincoln, Irving Park and Damen. There is parking in the back.

Hope to see you then. Really. Don’t miss this chance to get to know fellow lovers of liberty. We’re a rare find here in Chicago. ;)
