MEET THE CANDIDATE (GOVERNOR): ADAM ANDRZEJEWSKI
The Chicago Libertarian Party Meetup Group
The first candidate to declare for Illinois Governor in 2010 was ADAM ANDRZEJEWSKI (And-GEE-eff-ski). Originally from Herscher, Adam announced his intention to seek the Republican nomination this spring and remains one of two declared candidates to date.
Adam began his career as an entrepreneur, co-founding a publishing company with his brother. After selling his shares, Adam followed a new path and spearhead the non-profit For the Good of Illinois http://www.forthegood…, the aim of which is to assist citizens in bringing the finances of their local taxing bodies online. During his tenure, nearly $1 billion in public funds was opened up to public scrutiny by placement online.
Adam’s life’s work is now his campaign slogan: "Every Dime. Online. In Real Time." Running as a reform candidate, he believes that we can’t begin to fix the problems facing our state until we can clearly see the problems. An opponent of tax increases, Adam has posted his own comprehensive plan to balance the budget @ his campaign website. http://www.adamforill….
A proponent of limited government, Adam also advocates:
* free-market competition, including for government contracts
* comprehensive, sincere ethics reform
* alternative education, i.e., private schools, charter schools and home schools
* civil liberties, i.e., gun rights, privacy rights (Real ID), personal health rights (he’d consider a bill legalizing medical marijuana), judicial rights (red light cameras), etc.
In a recent Illinois Review straw poll, the political newcomer claimed 32% of votes.(http://www.vizu.com/r…)

The Chicago Libertarian Party July Meetup
The Chicago Libertarian Party Meetup Group
All ages can attend.
The Chicago Libertarian Party starts its business meetings at 7pm. The business typically takes about an hour to get through, after which we stay around for a couple of hours socializing.
Feel free to show up any time after 6:00. The business portion of the meeting is open for everyone to attend. Now is a great time to get involved, as we work begin the groundwork for local elections in 2010.
The Lincoln Restaurant is near the intersection of Lincoln, Irving Park and Damen. There is parking, and I believe that the Irving Park brown line station is open again.
